Soup of the Day: LT Eazy Tee
(Legit Chino Shorts and Cali Shoes dropping soon…)

French rap artist Sir Samuel (Saian Supa Crew) is family like the Cosbys. He just released his latest single “Pour Mes Youths”. Enjoy!
Check out Bad Boy signing French Montana & the kid Mac Miller chillin’ in the tour-bus recording “Smoke & Drank”. To make sure that they can convincingly bring across what the title of the track is all about, they obviously spark a leaf and drink on something purple. Mac’s advice: “I don’t suggest this to my young fans… Let us do the rapper shit and y’all stay in school and get good grades…”. Word.

Good looking out, Mac: after our Love Is For After The Game and What’s The Scenario tee, our MTP hoody and Oak Car Wash jacket we are happy to see that you like the K1X Hustle tee as well.
Now that’s big time! It was around Christmas last year when we spotted J. Cole rocking our K1X MTP Zipper Hoody in Paris. Now we found out that he was also shooting a video for the title track of his album “The Sideline Story” at that time. Seems as if he likes our hoody, so he didn’t change. Again – good looking out, Jermaine.
Besides our K1X MTP Zipper Hoody, J. Cole is wearing our What’s The Scenario Tee and our MTP Leatherman Jacket.
This one really makes us proud!

For K1X’s spring/summer 2012 collection, Parisian artist Lil Thugs took it to the hole hard. This design features the most iconic hoopers of the 90s, a decade which has already gone down in history as basketball’s “Golden Era”. Consider this design its unofficial Hall of Fame. Now available at Kickz.com, Snipes and if you’re in Paris, make sure to hit up COLETTE!

Every year JUICE Magazine, Europe’s finest hip hop publication, sets up an exclusive event that you can consider being the mirror to what’s happening in Rap-Germany at the moment.
And one thing is for sure: the scene is more variegated than it has been for a pretty long period of time. One artist, who has been mentioned in insider circles as the next big thing for years now, will finally drop his debut album this summer. His name is Megaloh – you’ll definitely hear of him soon. Trust us on this one!

For K1X’s spring/summer 2012 collection, Parisian artist Lil Thugs broke it down proper. This design features the most iconic hip hop heads of the 90s, a decade which has already gone down in history as rap’s “Golden Era”. Consider this design it’s unofficial Hall of Fame.

The hip hop legend who gave us “The Breaks” dropped by our headquarters yesterday. We’ve been friendly with Kurtis for a couple of years now and it’s always great to catch up with him whenever he’s in the area. Highlight of his visit was probably when he walked into the design department (no heads-up) and dropped a couple freestyle verses. Catch him on the K1X Tracks Radio Show real soon…

Today 15 years ago Notorious B.I.G. aka Christopher Wallace was killed. One day before his death, acclaimed photographer Barron Claiborne took the last portrait of Biggie. It would be his last and most iconic one. The picture would become known as the K.O.N.Y. (King of New York). This particular print which was created for the 10th anniversary of Biggie’s death includes the instrument of his demise and is called “Tonz-O-Gunz “. The print is now up for sale and can be purchased at a price of 2999 USD. First come, first serve. Hit us on berlin@k1x.com if you’re interested.

Pittsburgh’s own Mac Miller has taken the rap game by storm lately. And he’s big on Instagram, obviously. A couple of weeks ago, Mac stopped by our K1X NYC flagship store and picked out our “Oak Car Wash Jacket” among other things. Good looking out!

Our spring/summer collection is a tribute to a decade of excellence, which became known as the “Golden Era”. The Dream Team had just won gold in Barcelona. Rap was somewhere between underground and taking over the world. And MJ was MJ. Back in 1993, basketball’s (and hip hop’s) pure quality and ultra fresh flavor inspired the birth of the K1X brand. Here’s to our roots…!
The new collection was shot by renowned nightlife photographer August Castell-Castell in Lisbon (Portugal) and features our friends Mo, Pascal, Tom Breezy, Tith, Rich, Hank and Papa Neal.
Even though Mic Donet has just come short of making the finals at “The Voice of Germany”, homeboy has a bright future ahead. Just cause he can flat out sing – un-fkn-fassbar! Germanys recording artist Xavier Naidoo called his upcoming album grammy worthy. We think his Beanie is as well. Big up Mic!

This young lady from Örebro (Sweden) has a passion for rap-music and is very well connected, which allows her to capture moments like this with her trusty companion, Canon.

Armed with pure lyrical prowess and with the hunger and talent that comes along with a Brooklyn mc’s pedigree, Maffew enters Hip-Hop as an artist on a mission. A mission that many consider impossible, especially in terms of bringing East coast music back to the forefront. In particular music that’s not just about the beat, not just the dance and not just for the club, but all together, driven by the mc, who commands the track with lyrics, flow, content, charisma, swagger and contagious energy. K1X is very much down with that.

Termanology kills it! The spitting half of rap-duo 1982 goes over Swizz Beats’ “Welcome To The Jungle” (originally used by Jay-Z & Kanye West for their “Watch The Throne”-Album). Good looking in our K1X Shimmy Shimmy Ya College Jacket [0:32].
Mac Miller, on tour like forever now, dropped in at our K1X Store in NYC the other day. We had the chance to meet him for the first time last year in September, so it was cool top catch up. And it has already been announced that he’ll be headlining a couple of European festivals this year (such as Hip Hop Open and Splash, both Germany) – stay tuned for updates.

Mac Miller is wearing our MTP Hoody.
Our loyal friend and supporter Termanology recently released a mixtape with ST member Ea$y Money named “S.T.R.E.E.T.”.
“Derelict” is the latest video to their release and features the homey REKS (who kills it right around 01:40) in our K1X MTP Zipper Hoody and Neo College Jacket.
Can’t stop – won’t stop. It’s great to see rap pioneers like De La Soul still doing their thing. Currently touring Europe, Kelvin Mercer aka Posdnuos was spotted in our K1X Hip Hop Don’t Stop tee, probably because that message is right up his alley. Good lookin’ out, Pos!
