This one is tricky. So let’s keep it simple. Will Ferrell plays the owner/coach and star-player of the ABA’s down-and-out Flint Michigan Tropics, which is pretty funny. Sometimes. But nowhere near as good as the movie’s overall styling. Those Tropics uniforms reign supreme. Other than that, Andre 3000 plays the team’s flashy top-scorer Clarence; and actually has a little bit of game. The veteran walk-on Monix is played by Billy Hoyle aka Woody Harrelson, who’s “other” basketball movie is no where near as good as his first basketball movie. If you haven’t seen Semi-Pro, you haven’t missed much. Actually, just watch this and you’ll have seen it all:

In this video, Statik Selektah and Termanology document their travels to Europe, feat. cameos by Mac Miller and Nas….
This one is pretty easy to sum up. Great movie – dope cinematography – corny basketball. Edward Norton is a great actor but his game looks awkward, like he took some last minute lessons to prep for this role. “Derek Vinyard’s” game winning dunk at Venice Beach is about as realistic as a skinhead ballplayer. And what type of a K-Mart ball are they playing with anyway? Check the rock spike off the concrete like a rocket in this clip:

The inaugural “K1X Park Authority” tournament was held two weeks ago at our notorious home-court, dubbed “Pina” in Munich’s (Germany) museum district. Ten teams made up of local ballers, heads and influencers took it to each other under the blazing sun. BobMoses All-Stars, Kickz.com, Nike, Distorted People, Goodbois, Massman Park, K1X, Anderer Crew, H.E.A.R.T. & Pinack Attack Locals battled it out in 27 hard-fought matches until only one team was left standing: The PA Locals won the final game over Team K1X and successfully claimed their rightful status as “Park Authority”. That is until next year, when they will defend their title and bragging-rights in the second edition of K1X’s 3-on-3 Park Authority B-ball Tournament.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this one helluva day. See you next year, fellas!
