when they were in germany’s capital to promote their new joint “montezuma’s revenge”, a-plus, tajai and opio (three members of the legendary souls of mischief & hieroglyphics crew) stopped by at our showroom in berlin city. here’s a link to their legacy, one of the very very best hip hop tracks ever!
… literally! talib kweli paid k1x’s home country a visit and showed mad love for the locals by reppin’ k1x on stage. especially considering the roof raising heat at the fully packed venue. nothing underlines a killer performance like a boatload of sweat – and the following remains a commandment chiseled in stone: a talib show is a must for every fan of music, not just hip hop.

This past thursday it was time to finally unleash the complete 4-ELEMENTS series, featuring 4 unique basketballs limited to 444 pieces per element and four artists worldwide. K1X and the notorious Overkill Shop in Berlin celebrated the global release in style. Our man Harris aka Dj BinIchNich provided the soundtrack while friends, fans and family turned out in bunches to get a first glimpse at the project. Special thanks to artists Marok and Mode2, who also dropped by to see their work in full effect. Check out the pics as well the video to get an impression of what you missed if you weren’t there …

after releasing the debut album and a mixtape with little brother, phonte coleman aka percy miracles (one third of the group, right on the pic) decided to stay versatile. so he recorded an incredible album titled “connected” with internet acquaintance nicolay, an electronica, r&b and hip hop record producer from the netherlands. two more l.b. lp’s and 5 mixtapes later they gathered again to record their sophomore joint “leave it all behind” which gained attention in an remarkable broad field, providing them a nominee on this years grammy award show for best urban/alternative performance for “daykeeper” feat. muhsinah. stay tuned for the results on jan 31st.
