World B. Free
This is how we take the old to the new: K1X creates a collection around NBA legend World B. Free’s unique persona. World, who may just be the coolest guy ever, sends us a drawing of what his signature shoe should look like. It doesn’t quite turn out that way. “The Elevator” Quintin Slaughter meets us in Philly to shoot the collection and underlines his status as the other coolest guy ever.

K1X Shorty
K1X Shorty is born. Our inaugural line for female dancers is shot in NYC by Andrew Dosunmu and features pole dancers, ballet dancers, while introducing y’all to the one and only Ashlee Desire (yes, that’s her real name).

Troj takes Werm, FX and Justin Darlington of Team Flight Brothers to China, where many things go unplanned and several things go right.

Big Apple Tournaments
K1X teams up with NYC’s top summer tournaments “Together We Chill” (Harlem), “Kingdome” (Harlem) and the “Lower Manhattan Classic” (Lower East Side), adding more color than a handful of M&M’s to NY’s already vibrant basketball scene.

Oktoberfest
The new intern, Frieder der Beserker, is given 100 euros and a camera to hit the Octoberfest across the street. Here’s what went down …
TFB
K1X partners up with ultra charismatic Youtube dunking sensations “Team Flight Brothers”. We invite T-Dub, Special FX, Guy Dupuy, Jus Fly, Elevator, Jonsey, Murda, Werm, Rudeboi and Golden Child to Naples, Florida (TFB founder Chuck Millan’s headquarters) to shoot the “Haute Courture” collection. One week of freestyle dunking sessions (and plenty of trashed hotel rooms) are enough to edit several great video clips:

FNCTN
K1X FNCTN is born: technically advanced gear for Park Ballers. Featherlight, moisture wicking, odor repelling and extra long. Streetball’s consensus #1 pick.

H.I.T.S.
K1X teams up with top NYC tournaments “Hoops in the Sun” (Orchard Beach) and “Watson” (Bronx), leaving a major footprint in the mecca of street basketball.
City Slam
Marvin “High Rizer” Collins wins ESPN’s “City Slam” dunking world championship. The second new K1X warrior, Guy Dupuy, comes in second.
