DJ Deadeye began developing his craft as a DJ, playing at clubs and parties around Lawrence, MA. It was around this time that he met Statik Selektah and later Termanology who he recorded several tracks with for his Hood Politics series of mixtapes. The cornerstone was laid, Deadeye became Termanology and ST. da Squad’s official DJ. All this has been leading up to the March 2011 release of his debut album “Substance Abuse”, a concept-driven album that showcases Deadeye’s strengths as a producer, DJ and song writer. Featuring both established artists (Reks, Termanology, Freddie Foxx, Cormega, Tony Touch) and a selection of top underground talent “Substance Abuse” goes beyond the standard producer-album, that’s for sure.
